Easter 2024 will make it 10 years since we purchased a factory in the Beautiful “Kooralbyn Valley” Queensland (20min from Beaudesert) and have now assembled the 120th engine (Jan 22) since the opening.
My name is Murray Scoble and along with my dedicated wife Amanda we are now specializing wholly and solely in the re-manufacturing / reconditioning of JAGUAR and DAIMLER engines, We have not got the time I’m afraid to offer any general mechanical repairs or servicing but are more than happy to offer any advice so we do encourage you to feel free to make contact and talk to us.
Jaguars to me I’m sure, are in my blood ! I am 59 years young and have grown up around them all my life with Grandparents, Uncles, Aunties and Parents all owning them and 2022 will be reason to celebrate 43 years specializing in JAGUAR cars. That did instil a passion in me at a very young age. My first job as an apprentice was in a specialized Jaguar business, my uncle “Bob How” infact.
I worked in the biggest Jaguar wrecking yard in the country (A1 auto wreckers, AKA Jagdaim automotive) for 12 plus years and when opportunity arose I got into my own business way back in 1991. We have gone from strength to strength in that time and now find myself in Queensland with all of my tools, experience and reputation all intact and am now doing what I really love to do…..Building Engines ! This is not a job to me, its a hobby I’m being paid for. That’s a pretty good spot to be. “If your doing something you love you’ll never work a day in your life”

At Peninsula Jag, we specialise in Jaguar engine reconditioning; Jaguar engine rebuild, Daimler engine rebuild and Daimler engine reconditioning – projects that we hold very dear to our hearts. Although our new factory is based in Queensland, we are very much regarded as Jaguar engine specialists and offer Jaguar reconditioning across Australia, New Zealand and the rest of the world for international inquiries are welcomed.
As you can imagine, to do this properly, it takes time, patience and finesse so unfortunately, we are unable to carry out general mechanical repairs although we are able in some cases with time permitting, please simply enquire to see if we can help you. We are always happy to offer advice.
The Jaguar, to us at least, are one of the finest cars that have ever been manufactured and this is why we feel that some of the classic models need restoring to their former glories so that future generations can appreciate them. Take, for example, our Jaguar XK engine rebuild or our Jaguar XJ12 engine rebuild. These are mammoth tasks but with each and every Jag engine reconditioning we take the time and effort to ensure that it is done correctly and completed to a standard that the manufacturer would be proud of.
We engage in all Jaguar XK engine rebuild and Jaguar V12 engine rebuild and, of course, these are projects that I must say I enjoy the most and specialise in. That said pushrod motors and later V8’s are equally special.
To work with Jaguars or Daimler engine reconditioning is a privilege and a joy. To work on these beautiful machines is an honour and both my wife and I thoroughly enjoy what we do and are genuinely passionate about these vehicles. For me, they have been my lifeblood for over 57 years, and I couldn’t imagine doing anything else or working with any other type of vehicle.
Right from my apprenticeship beginnings in 1977, I have worked with Jaguars, and now Jaguar engine rebuild comes naturally to me and I get the same thrill as when I started. I am fortunate enough to have started my own business way back in 1991 and now here in Queensland since 2007 and predominantly now as a Jaguar engine specialist and we have built a reputation for being the best Jaguar engine reconditioning specialist in Australia. We pride ourselves on the fact that we have all the tools, tricks of the trade and of course, the expertise to complete Jag engine reconditioning to the highest quality.
Although I have worked on literally thousands of cars over the years, it is the Jaguar twin cam 2.4 2.8 3.4 and 4.2 engine rebuild and Jaguar V12 engine rebuild and E type engine rebuild that gives me the most satisfaction. I am lucky enough to do a job that I genuinely love and getting up in the morning is a pleasure, definitely not a chore! Not many other people get the chance to complete Jaguar XK engine rebuilds or Jaguar XK12 engine rebuilds, but I get to do my hobby every day and get paid for it!
